Michael at his 4th Birthday Party. It was a Lego Indiana Jones Adventure Party

The kids went on a scavenger hunt through the house to find the crystal skull.
Reading the next clue.
Here, the little archaeologists have to assemble the bones they found to receive the next clue.
Here, they are coming back down the stairs after finding some gold bars in a treasure chest. Little do they know the boulder (my huge exercise ball) is about to come crashing down behind them. It was pretty funny!
Here they are in the mummy gallery. They all had to disguise themselves as mummies to receive the next clue. It was hilarious...probaby their favorite part.
All the birthday guests before they left.
This is the Lego game, Michael's party was based on. He LOVES Indiana Jones.
On his real birthday, a few days before his party, we celebrated at home, just the 4 of us.
A birthday pic with Dad and brother.
Michael was so excited to get the Lego set he wanted.
A sweet card from Matthew.
Michael at his birthday party at school. His little friend, Maddie wanted to be in the picture. She is sooo cute!
Michael and one of his teachers, Ms. Nancy.
Michael at school on his birthday with his other teacher, Ms. Sherry.

Matthew and his 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Moss. She is his third (and we hope, final) teacher this year. His first teacher had a baby and then he had a substitute for 3 weeks. Matthew adapted well through it all.

Matthew and his initial 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Roberts. She had to leave because she had a baby. It was a boy and she named him Matthew. Matthew thought that was so cool. She chose that name for the same reason we did, because it means "gift from God".

Matthew in his classroom (first day of 2nd grade).

Mark took me to the Keith Urban, Sugarland concert for our anniversary. This is huge for Mark because he doesn't really like country music. However, after the concert, he admitted that Keith Urban was "pretty awesome" (his words).
Keith Urban rocked...he's an amazing musician!!! The best concert I've ever been to.
Pretty good seats!
This was as good as it gets as far as getting a pic with Keith! But I'm not complaining...it was a GREAT night!

Aug. 2009 Pics

We went camping again in August. This campground was right outside Gatlinburg. Here is the inside our little camper. I think it's so funny to have all these luxuries while camping! But, of course, it made it a little easier for me to buy into the whole camping thing! hahaThe boys were building a dam. I believe some beavers did all the really hard part but don't tell the boys that!

There was a huge waterslide at this campground. As you can see, Michael is not about to try it.
After finally trying it, Matthew wouldn't get off.

Of course, Mark didn't want to get off either.

July 2009 Camping Pics

A quick visit with G'ma Jeanne and G'pa Kurt during one of our camping trips to Townsend.

We took 2 camping trips in July.
Both within an hour of Knoxville.
Below are some pics from both trips.

Life with 2 boys...never a dull moment! Funny that I had the camera on me and could snap this pic. I was so embarrassed though when I turned around and saw him peeing on a tree!
Tubing in the Smoky mountains.
Hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Awesome scenery!
Michael absolutely LOVES hiking and being outdoors.

Turtles at Cove Lake State Park.

We always go geocaching when we go camping. I thought this was a cool spot. It was an overlook spot in Caryville, TN where they took old chairlifts and turned them into swings to sit in. A great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We would never have known about this cool spot if we weren't geocaching.

If you look close you'll see a huge rattlesnake (we were hiking in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park). This was the best picture I could get. I was not as close as it looks (I used the 10x zoom and was shaking pretty bad!) What's so scary is that we would never have seen this snake if some other hikers hadn't pointed it out. How scary is that!!!

Another scary sight while hiking. Check out the size of this spider! The boys just love this kind of stuff. Me?...I think it's pretty creepy and very hard to go to sleep at night!

The boys are going after Mark with the water balloons.

Staying cool on a hot summer day!

The balloon fight was hilarious.
(William, Matthew and Michael)

Mamaw came to visit us in July. The boys adore her (we all do).

Matthew lost both is top front teeth within a couple weeks of each other.
